As of the end of the 1980s, under the banner of the company UNARFILM, Petr Marek has made thirty short films and seven features (the shortest film was nine seconds; the longest four hours). His collaborator on these films was Jiri Nebesky. In 1999, Petr received a degree from Charles University’s school of philosophy. His graduate thesis was “The Mechanical Memoir of the Film Industry (and Memoirs in Film).” His theoretical essays have appeared in the following Czech periodicals: “film a doba,” “Cinepur,” Illuminace,” “Lidove noviny,” “Tamto.” More details can be found at unar.tripod.com.
